Making Tax Digital (MTD) is HMRC’s programme to introduce a digital tax system. MTD will require most businesses, self-employed people and landlords to use digital software to keep tax records and update HMRC on a quarterly basis. While this process is being rolled out gradually, we think it is important for people to start planning now for the move to digital records so they are well prepared in advance of the different phases of the programme.
The aim of this workshop is to make people aware of the different accounting software solutions available to them, ahead of the implementation of MTD. There are many additional benefits associated with using digitalsoftware solutions, which will make it easier to comply with MTD in the long term, such as up to date management information or a list of debtors and creditors at the click of a button.
Our Virtual Finance Office Manager, Hannah Roe, will lead a workshop, showcasing different accounting software solutions to demonstrate the benefits and limitations of each. If you’re not already using a software package or not confident in using the software you have, our team can advise you on the best solution for you and your business. We will also demonstrate the best apps to connect with your chosen software solution to streamline your bookkeeping and move your manual systems online.
